Im running an Galaxy 95T2 with a predator 10k on a tri-mag mount on the roof of my F-350. im measuring with a radio shack swr meter. after calibrating im getting a real high reading on the swr meter..... well in the red. but i know this radio has a built in swr circuit and swr meter...

wouldnt it make more sense for the link for the Safety Standard for CB Base Antennas to actually take you to the safety standard? instead it takes you to the standard for matchbooks......lol. when you are at that matchbook standard you have to scroll down and manually click next twice to...

im thinking about buying one from Sparkys..... I want a powerfull setup for 11 meter.... and i know different radios have diferent strengths. Looking at other threads about "the best 10 meter radio" the 95t2 was only listed by one person i think. i just wanted to make sure i wasnt...

I was looking at the mounts out there and im noticing that most have a dome shaped area where the antenna would thread on.... so im guessing if you put a predator 10k that has a flat surface and thread it into one of these dome shaped mounts.... all the stress is going to be on the threads...

is the coil supposed to be offest? it just looks weird.

sorry but im new to this world..... but an "export radio" is a 10 meter radio modded to work on the 11 meter CB freq? and the reason for doing this is they put out way more power out of the box than a wimpy 4 watt cb right? And are some 10m radios unable to be modded to work on 11m?

i was thinking about getting a 10k with a quad mag mount for the roof of my pickup. i was wondering how much drag the antenna will make and if doing 100mph will damage it at all. do you put a spring between the shaft and the mount so it can move? thx for the help...
