    I have one of the older ones. I put a sp-1A in it and peolpe don't know if I am in the mobile or on the base. Picks up alot of noise in the mobile.

    Ranger AR3300

    They both are good radios.. I have the AR-3500 100w with sp1-a speech processor with a stock mic and they say that it is as loud as my 2995dx with the sp1 and power mic. Has been good since the day I bought it.

    Galaxy Base Mic

    I use one on a 2995 and they say it is clear as a bell. I have tried many mics and this was the best sounding one. You might have to try a few on the radio that you are using.

    Did you get the mic wired to the 2995? How does it work? Tryiong to find the right mic for my 2995dx that has a speech processor in it.

    RCI-2995DX Mic Options

    Hi, I am looking for opions on which mic to run with a 2995dx with a speech processor. Right now I use a D104 silver eagle with no speech processor and mic gain on the radio can go wide open. As soon as the speech processor is on I cannot get it past 8 o'clock on the mic gain... Any ideas

    ar 3300 good or junk

    Don't let it go. I have the AR-3500 100w with a speech processor and variable power and there aren't many mobiles with loud audio with a stock mike.
