11 meter is very quiet?

I've been off my feet and off the air for the past 4 days after getting my knee injections. Doc said to take it easy on the knees for 4-5 days. I'm going stir-crazy sitting on my ass all day.
Tomorrow I'll crawl down to the shack and hit it around 10am. I hope that I have some luck. 73.

Knees are almost 100% BTW.

Sounds like your knees are progressing along well. Like Rwb said, there's no need to get in a hurry. You'll be running around the farm in no time.

I got a few minutes to set at the base this afternoon and did hear some yakking going on. I heard Colorado calling out but couldn't connect but manage to connect with Illinois for a short bit on the Lincoln II+ on 39 lsb. Heard traffic on 37-39 lsb. Jumped around a bit but it didn't last long. I've tried that 26.805 FM but can't seen to get lucky with someone being home. Well I'm not going to get to excited because I'm in the middle of making a custom set of Forks for my tractor bucket so I can pick up a custom built car-port to move it to the back section of yard. Then I can drop my antenna for fine tune adjustment and maybe be better ready for fall DX. Talk about a Dreamer ! LOL

I took some pto to get some projects done around the house. I turned a radio on as i walked by it and ended up talking short skip for a couple of hours :ROFLMAO:. From about 11 this morning until about 2 I worked several station in Missouri, Tennessee, Arkansas, Arizona and southern Utah. Pretty weird but nice crystal clear Dx. I didn't log a thing, but a needlebender (don't recall who) said I made his livestream so maybe I'll run into it sometime.

if anybody near me,4 state area ark,ks,okla and mo have a scanner on and have railroad channels in it and on listen to it unbeliveable how much its done .trees across tracks from tulsa to springfield, flooding everywhere. and more storms coming so no radioing again till the weather calms her butt down a notch. getting bored not hearing voices on radios

Like they say ( I'm up to my hinney in alligators ) getting summer work done and soon I'll be dropping the antenna for a little SWR tuneup. Both ends of the channel spectrum aren't too bad but the low channels are better than the high and I'd like to even them out. But if all else fails I'd rather have the High channels better than the low. Just my idiosyncrasy. LOL And hopefully it will pay off if the fall and winter DX returns. In the mean time Keep on Hoeing Boys. LOL

It's been quiet here for several weeks !
Same exact situation here in the U.K. Never been so quiet for so long. By chance the weather has been amazing. Mostly sunny, warm and dry (a rare occurrence in these parts). Consequently I momentarily gave up on the radio and drove my Harley instead discovering beautiful roads in the countryside where I live.
