Hung out on 27.205 while working on radios. Skip was coming in and out all day long. Started with Illinois, NY, in the morning (7am) and Maryland down thru the Carolinas around noon ending up with the Sand Pile around 4pm.

QSO's with a couple of stations in East Texas, Michigan, New York, Ontario Canada on SSB.
I started scanning around some on AM. Stopped on Channel 20 when I heard a familiar voice and number come through my speaker from a WWDX forum member and friend "...357 Magnum Leo in Rhode Island..."
Yep, there he was! We had a good QSO on AM. Better than any we've had on SSB. Leo's Cobra 2000 was clearing the airways coming into North Carolina with strong signal and loud clear audio.

Unit 101 and myself spoke to 357 this morning, from the big bam 
Just had a QSO with Poland on 10 meters on the Imax 2000, 1000 km's away, 5/9 both ways running 100 watts from the Yaesu FT 991A.
The sporadic E season is about ending in middle august, back to tumble weed on the higher bands.
There is always 160 and 80.

Good DX here in N.C. this morning all on LSB from .385-.425. Flavor of the day Uniden Washington, factory mic, Gray base amp, flat side wire dipole.

Florida stations were blasting North
up the Atlantic coast line last night on SSB.
Best sounding station was on a homemade inverted V dipole and running 100 watts...or so he said.

Dead quiet this mornin,even the local that talks to himself on 27.325 was not on
Some faint Sporadic E on 10 meters, but of course not here, more to France and Italy, my luck again....

A little here today as well. To the North West States mostly. All on SSB.
Talked with triple one on Grand Island, 81 and hit and run in Chicago. Black Sheep in the Bahamas and Dr J in Texas on ch 20 this afternoon. Mother nature was not being nice so you had to get them while they were in there cause the bottom would fall out real quick. Trainman steppin'
