11 meter is very quiet?

When checking into the SSB net last night at 8 pm PST there were a couple check-ins from Texas.
They have a net every Friday nite at 8 pm on 27.365 lsb down in the Central Valley around the Fresno area.
And on Saturday nights at 8 PM the Old Tube Radio Network has roll call and check-ins on 27.085 AM.
You can hear lots of old glow in the dark radios on the air.

Its been bz this eve. I went to 36 and made a contact that was like next door, 1979 W Virginia. 38 is a train wreck.
Its booming here in Ky again tonight out of Texas Louisiana Mississippi lets ride!!

Good DX happening to the North East especially to RI and NH...lengthy QSO's happening. Inverted V dipole I put up few days ago working good (at least today

New York, Cape Cod, Carolinas, Bermuda, Jamaica, coming into Central Texas this morning, best Qso was 1543 Bermuda on 38lsb, train wreck now, will try 27.5550 when work is done this afternoon

Not much time for radio today. Sounds like skip is rolling. Did take a break long enough to talk to Washington, Arizona, New Mexico.

Well that was fun, jumped in on the bowl, turned up the power and had some fun. Dropped to 38 LSB and could only hear whispers so went back to bowl. Got into the Southeast and even into AZ.
