11 meter is very quiet?

I had some decent midwest conditions this morning down here in south Texas. I made zero contacts up north. My only contact was a good one out to Arizona.
I shutdown early today after 3 busy days of running loads.
Nothing in my receiver right now an hour south of Houston.
Unfortunately I'm 10-7 on the base. Hope to have a new antenna up this weekend to be back on the air. Sure don't want to miss out on all the fun.

What kind of new antenna are you planning to put up??? Curious....................
Well it wasn't a planned antenna swap but some kind of big bird probably an owl flew into it and seriously bent it up. Figured I'd fly the sigma venom this round and try to repair the damaged one at a later date.

Around here if it isn't the crazy wind, it's owls nowadays.

WOW, those Owls just sound like they don't give a Hoot when it comes to CB antennas, LoL No wonder CB means Constantly Buying!!

Man I don't know for sure that it was an owl but the way the top section was bent into a 45 degree angle it had to have a good size something hit it. We have big owls and hawks around here so it's just speculation. Or..... a low altitude buzz by the hospital chopper because I am in their flight path...

Either way, I'm back up and running! As to the sigma it's one that's been up before so it's an easy one to put up.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
