Conditions up here on the west coast of Canada have been hit and miss for the last month or two........still getting lots of daily short skip, usually in the 400 to 1200 mile range. It's very sporadic; hence the name "sporadic-E".....stations boom in for an hour or two, then everything goes quiet for an hour or two, and then suddenly it will open up again for a while. Rinse and repeat all day long. Most days it is late morning before anything is heard here at all.
Australia, Hawaii, and New Zealand are all coming in daily in the afternoon and evening as well........sometimes quite late at night.........I was still hearing activity on 35LSB from downunder at 11:30pm last night! Signal strengths are nowhere near what they were a couple months back, but still good enough for contacts.
Very little exotic DX happening on the upper frequencies. Briefly heard Japan on 555 a couple evenings ago, and a guy in Brazil on there today. Heard John in 338 division (Marquesas Islands) down in the weeds on 38 last night. That's pretty much it though. Hoping for a big improvement as we head towards fall!
