11 meter is very quiet?

had long hard day yesterday. i ate supper showered looked at radios n was naaa n went to sleep.hope somebody got some dxin in
I went nowhere yesterday so a radio never got turned on because my neighbor is home all weekend. I spent the day in the garage building a winch system for the 3 point hitch system of my tractor so I can lower my antenna mast for adjustment. (So my head was in the right place) LOL Now this morning I see there is a Air Quality Index warning for today because of a wild fire somewhere, so I'll be staying indoors today instead of lowering my antenna. Better days are coming ! (I Hope)

Does your rig interfere with something (or everything) in your neighbors house ?? That can be fixed easily enough. Tell us specifically what the problem is. I'm certain there are a lot of people here who can help.

I spent all of the day Saturday and most of Sunday getting my station back together. Had to refinish the top of my desk with polyurethane enamel on Friday. Slow to dry. Sunday started setting things back up, but taking longer that I thought. Gonna hit it again this morning. Hopefully one the air later today. Gonna go with the Quad 6Pro and sadly retire my 139XLR. Anybody want to buy it ?? If so, I will post particulars.

Thanks for the thought but a few years back I had conversations come over my computer speakers from 11 meter radios and when I figured it out I changed speakers and end of problems. But I have no idea what kind of speakers my neighbor has on his computer and I'm not taking a chance because he is the kind of guy who would start trouble in the blink of a eye seeing how he'd love to get his hands on my property because his family always wanted it because it joins their property. I don't need legal hassles brought into my life right now because I already have Estate hassles brewing. Thanks for the thought but on the list of importance there is other things more important than a fun hobby.

Read the following I found it at the ARRL:

If your neighbor complains, he will have to do what you did replace the whatever the RFI is going over to solve HIS problem.

Makes copies of this for when the uninformed cop come to your door, they can do nothing about your radio(s). Your radio isn't putting out RFI the consumer product is picking up your signal which it is not supposed to.

Note that this is for Amateur or CB radio operator.

Everyone in the US that reads this post should read that article, and save it. Neighbors like to play the game, but when it comes to consumer products and RFI only the FCC knows the answer.

More of my 2¢, by just doing an FCC RFI search.

Thanks for the input, the article was interesting and deserves further investigation. Makes you wonder how many local Hill-billy Officials are aware of this before they rattle your cage. I will bookmark the article for sure for printing. When you were trained to fight it is hard to keep from being a rabid war-dog instead of a Fine Upstanding Citizen (Yes Man) LOL

Pretty good conditions again today, which makes two days in a row! It doesn't start until mid-day, but once it starts it keeps going until after dark. Still hearing Australia in there right now.........

Had contacts today to Alberta, Saskatchewan, Montana, Hawaii, Arizona, Oregon and even Southeast Washington, which is only a few hundred miles from here, so that's a very short skip!

Great conditions here the last few days, and yesterday was spectacular. Almost as good as last spring! Had skip from all over all day long and well into the evening. it finally died down around 11pm last night. Talked to every state in the western USA plus all western Canadian provinces and Mexico & Hawaii on 37/38 LSB.

Also heard a Colombian station (6SS001) and New Caledonia (172 division), along with Jamaica and tons of Brazilian and Argentine stations on 27.555USB

Hope it continues but once I hit the "post" button on this things will probably go quiet again LOL!

Murphy's law gets me again !! Not much was happening here, so I tore down my station to add some upgrades. You might know that's when Mother Nature cranks it up. The story of my life.
