11 meter is very quiet?

Conditions this evening aren't great but still workable. Propagation good one minute and then not so good the next, but...... had the great pleasure of catching @Shadetree Mechanic in there even if mother nature didn't let it play out for a little bit longer. 808, it was great to hear you in there my friend!
Just talked to 5409 in maldesto cali. First good contac in a month or more. Was at 7:30 pm cst here

I made 2 contacts today with my Lincoln II+. The first was on ch 23 FM and the operator 485 was clear as a bell just outside of San Antonio Texas and only running 51 watts. We exchanged Flowers on radios. The second one was from Colorado clear but with less volume. Looks like the Lincoln II+ teamed up with the West Mountain Radio processor might be a good match. Of coarse that was from my Radio room and Starduster so maybe it will be a good fall. ( Hopefully ) LOL

Was out and about in my car with the 980SSB on 27385 LSB earlier today and this guy from Amsterdam Netherlands was the strongest signal coming through. Didn't have much time for QSOs today, though.

Otherwise there seems to be a bit less propagation around here, but conditions on paper still look good. SFI high, A/K low. I think MUF is lowering faster in the evenings lately and I'm calling CQDX to aliens (and the bastards don't respond).

Europe still making it to the west coast today, but not as strong as the previous few days. I had to work all day anyways, so just had the radio in the background a bit.
I did have Japan coming through really strong on 555 this evening and afterward I dropped down to channel 4, the Japanese superbowl and it was roaring away down there from across the Pacific. Just like 6, but in Japanese!

channel 4 = Japanese superbowl
channel 5 = Mexican superbowl
channel 6 = US superbowl (see also channels 11 & 28)
channel 9 = Puerto Rico superbowl

At this rate, the whole band will soon be nothing but a giant superbowl from one end to the other LOL!

last nite funny guys on 21 but no contac. they had a decent but funny convo for about 20 minutes. then it was 9 pm n i went to a 2 meter net where only 2 or 3 of us are on it. we had a funny chat there though. up at a large lake there is a small island. perfect place for antenna. but 1 itty bitty problem, its a snakes den so to say

Had the Ranger on this afternoon around 1pm and was able to make contact with #553 ( Codeman) out of Austin,Texas who happens to be a WWDX forum member,so that was a nice contact, haven't been on the air lately due to work, etc....... hope everyone is doing well!!

It was good to talk with you again. I was in traffic with lots of construction, otherwise I would have asked to QSY to another frequency. But I had to keep my eyes on the road. That ranger with the Delta Mike sounds awesome!

The previous day I made a great contact with 4000 out of Germany. I was around Lake of the Ozarks, Mo and had him at S9 on 27.3500.

Hope to hear you again.
