11 meter is very quiet?

Picking up here again now too. Just talked to 101 in Pensacola and 000 Maui in the last 30 minutes.

Two day windstorm with gusts up to 60 MPH & heavy rains is in our forecast....crossing my fingers that my antennas stay up!

Conditions were strange today. The solar site said Poor today for10-12meter and it was that. But I did take a run with my mobile once today and once in a while I could hear some skip that sounded way off in the distance but it was plain as day. This afternoon went to my radio room and heard nothing on my Q6 Pro but then switched to my Galaxy DX 2547 and caught some skip on 38 lsb off and on. Scratched my head & shut her down. Better days are coming.

Well the Solar site said 11 meter was poor today and that was a fact. The only noise I heard was out of ch 6 AM and I'm not into that. But I was able to complete a outdoor spring project so not all was lost. I hope the rest of you fared OK today

Well the sun has been upset for several days now and a product of that was some earth directed nastiness to completely kill any chance of dx.

I worked outside the house today in a very unusual 97 degree March day but had the garage station running...... Total static all day and it sure reminded me of what we had before this solar cycle kicked off.

Come back Dx goodness,

Weird conditions the last few days for sure. Yesterday it was nothing but Hawaii all day long......nowhere else....just Hawaii. Did have a few Aussies sneaking in around sundown but not at the usual blistering signal strength. Couple days before that we had intermittent openings to Texas and the Gulf Coast and a little Arizona and California. So far today, dead as dead can be. Hopefully the sun will be done with its shenanigans soon and we can get back to some real DXing!

Out in the garage working on the mower deck, standing by on 37LSB. I heard a single Jamaican station in the grass, and nobody else. Calling DX just feels like I'm practicing...

Mower deck has been scraped and wire brushed by hand. Next comes one coat of Rust-Oleum paint over rust primer, followed by a coat of Rust-Oleum black. Mower is approaching 25 years old, and I don't plan on buying another one. Ever...

Smart thinking. I made a lift system overhead hoist to lift the front of the tractor of the ground to clear the clods of grass from under the deck so they don't set there and rust the deck.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
