Sometimes 100-200 watts is all you need to cut through the roar. I've got my ftdx10 with heil mic and 1kw to bust through the crowds tonight. Seems to be working at the moment.Things are weird. Worked all day mowing and trimming because it's suppose to rain again and I was in bad need of a mowing. The solar site said poor conditions today but when the work was done I decided to run to town for a sandwich and a cappuccino. The Q6 Pro was busy on both 37 & 38 LSB but couldn't connect to save my butt. I guess it is experiment time. I'm going to yank out the Q6 Pro & reinstall the McKinley & KL 203 P just to see what happens. There is no sense in me being a Hard Head unless I show it. LOL
I tend to agree with you about a little extra power. I like the sound of the Q6 pro but think it might not have the guts to operate in my area running on it's own steam.Only a little more experimenting might prove it.
