And yes, it's a spark plug, not just an oddly-shaped injector.

You sure it's diesel and not natural gas? Cat uses a spark plug on their emissions control system with ard heads but as far as I know they are the only ones. I'm not a Cummins expert.

Cummins makes a Cng engine that’s what it from a lot of buses have them 8.3 I think we’re most of them and 8.9 I think Plus they own onan generators

Shadetree got it on the first try. Came from a dual-mode stationary motor that runs on diesel or natgas. Has to have the plug to run on natgas.

Sure had me puzzled at first glance.
