Ps, the power rating is now equal to the quad 6 and did you see the massive heatsink on the back like the strykers? I'm guessing it's the same amp section as the quad 6. 1 driving 1 driving 2.

I think I will be on stand by as the info unfolds before I do the impulse buy.

I emailed the Amazon seller about the 11 meter mod for this new radio and got a reply this evening. They're telling me they can guide me to the mod but will need the programming cable..... Hmmmm. So this one may not have the wire on the board to snip like the strykers.

i found this, which shows it now has the programming jack in the back unlike the current 5555n. The frequency range seems to be the same, however I can’t find anything on how to mod.

I ordered one over a week back and if all go,s well it,s supposed to be here on 5/12 , with all the talk this radio has generated I can hardly wait to see it much less use it . If it work,s as good as the 6666 I,ll be happy .

Please report back, I'm still undecided on which flavor to go with.

The one I ordered was the 5555N2 , the ad said with cable . I hope that means programing cable ,we will see when it get,s here .
Yep, you'll be the first to report on that one and looking forward to it.

I'm expecting a mix of the old 5555N with the k-po 5000 plus features and based on the description I'd think the final stage be close to that of the quad 6.

I hope it's a winner for you

O-Boy it came to day and it even works ,and if you had seen how it was packed you,d know why I said that . Just AMAZING . Any way it,s to late to do the mod to day for me and it did not come with the programming cable that will have to come later to .Hopefully I will see how it works with TX and Rec tomorrow , today I,m cooking dinner . See Ya

If it's like packages I've gotten before from Amazon, a big box with a couple air pillows and a radio box bouncing around inside of it haha.

We'll be waiting to hear what you think of it!

OK men I had some time so I took the back off the radio here,s what I see . The board is completely different the 5555N is what you and I see for the mod OP1. The board for the 5555N2 is way different and I can not find OP1 anywhere . I say wait for the NEW MOD for the N2 come,s out I know that,s what I,m going to do .

Read post #6. According to the seller, you'll need the cable and it's done through software.

At least, That's what the seller said.

Good day, I have an Icom IC910H radio. I want to program a memory with split frequency tone on TX only and NO tone on RX,. Is this possible to do from the face of the radio? I don't have the interface to connect to a computer.

@Deon very unlikely to get a response here. You are better off starting a thread on the topic.
