Anytone at-6666 v3

I'm not technical enough to try to see whether it's possible to put 12m into play on the 6666.

It is, if you are willing to reprogram one of the existing bands A~J
The CRT 9900 has A~L bands which the 2 extra bands allows 12 meters to be programmed in.

Homer, I just e mailed the general manager at Qixiang Electron Science & Technology Co, Ltd.
Let's see if they will answer the question if 12 can be enabled on the 6666.
I will let you know if I get a real answer.

What are the chances the latest CRT9900 firmware could be flashed into the 6666 without bricking it? If you have saved a copy of your original firmware (which you should always do), what are the chances it could be flashed back if the 9900 firmware didn't work? You showed the main PCB is the same.

Man, would that make me feel good to slide into that drivers seat and see that rig Good to Go.

In this case it was not a hard install.
This radio is small and light, so light that I stuck it on a flex mount. 1 seat bolt and a few screws for the mounting bracket to the plate and ran the b+ up to battery.
Hooked up the coax, antenna was already there.
Got on the air, asked my brother( 60 miles away ) for a radio check.
Done deal.
And the more I use this radio the more I like it.

Looks really good that way! Can you post a source for that flex mount?

That vehicle now ready to Run the Big Road!

Talk things up you want to step wave-top to wave-top to get thru those operating at too-low a vibrational frequency.

(Note in my above posts it’s not speed, but in being ready, willing & able; the waves part or the alternate route glows.)

As a phenomenon, it’s uncanny.

Audioshockwave, you got my attention with that mount too. That's a nice set up and flexible as well.

It is ok for a light radio like this, It is a soft steel (?) rod inside a wire loom material.
The top plate on this one is plastic with the tension nut plastic as well.
So far this is not a problem.
You have to put a little effort into bending the gooseneck around.
I like it so far, I will let you know how it holds up.
It don't know if I would put a big radio on it but for this little radio it's doing fine.

Another one
Never seen that one Homer.

With RCI and Q building most of the radios we see now, there are many clones.
My brother and I were talking about this the other day.
Look at the Quad 5
There are half a dozen radios built on the same chassis.
Top Gunn quad 5, CRT 6900n , AlincoDX10, Alinco DR 135dx, MassDX 5000, Anytone AT 5555, and if you dig you will find more.
Same board, same chassis, different name on the faceplate.
