The amazing part is that it hasn't been scrapped for the aluminum already.
Clearly belongs in a museum somewhere. Reminds me of the Ebay guy who perched the same "Own this piece of radio history" sign in all his listings.
Didn't see the crystal socket. I'm pretty sure it has no VFO in it. You'll need one to actually make it transmit, looks like.

this same auction house has other stuff for auction, most of it in New York state.
