Again today, China’s cases appear to be flat-topping. Either they’re getting a handle on it, or the virus is dying out. I suppose a third option: they also could just be lying.

Italy, Iran and S. Korea getting battered still.

The death of a few of their population is meaningless to a totalitarian Socialist/Communist regime such as China. They've proven this time and again. What is important to them is their economy. Because of the US sanctions against them their powerhouse economy is experiencing a serious slow down while the US economy is soaring. These sanctions will not destroy their economy, which is very important to worldwide economic stability. What can destabilize the global economy is everyone refusing Chinese goods because of fear of the Corona virus combined with the sanctions/tariffs. It is now under consideration for the US to suspend the sanctions/tariffs imposed on China to relieve the economic stress on their economy. This would put China back closer to where they were pro-Trump presidency. It's a gamble for them, but not a big one. The world needs China's economy stable.
A few fallen comrades is just collateral damage in the economic war.
I think it was Thomas Jefferson who said he would give you a nation's armys if he could control their wealth.

I believe something may be sinister with this new virus. We lose thousands to the "regular flu" yearly. If there is such thing as a regular flu. Never have i seen the reduction in air travel nor the quarantine of people/countries. For the flu? Just doesnt make sense. This outbreak scared China. They know the truth.

My thoughts as well. China normally suppresses things like this as long as possible which means either it has been around longer than we were lead to believe or it is in fact capable of being much worse that we are being told. What is scary is that at least one person contracted the virus, recovered, and then recontracted it and died. Makes you wonder if it is designed to infect, suppress giving false negatives, and then return with a vengence.

I got sick mid October and had to go back to the Hospital 4 more times and now I am dragging oxygen tanks. The flu was never mentioned, but then again Corona virus was not either. I really did not have a temperature just pneumonia. I had my flu shot in August and now I am in bad shape.
