Farthest radio transmission??

Voyager even made the big screen. Star Trek the Motion Picture 1979

"A massive alien spacecraft of enormous power destroys three powerful Klingon cruisers as it makes its way towards Federation space. Admiral James T. Kirk is ordered to take command of the USS Enterprise for the first time since her historic five-year mission. The Epsilon IX space station alerts the Federation, but they are also destroyed by the alien spacecraft. The only starship in range is the Enterprise, after undergoing a major overhaul in drydock orbiting Earth. Kirk rounds up the rest of his crew, and acquires some new members, and sets off to intercept the alien spacecraft. (VOYAGER) Trying to get home to report findings.)

I think that one was based on a Voyager 6 probe, I don't think we have launched that one yet lol
Do you remember the episode in the original series based on the same story line?

Oh.. You're right! lol... The math definitely doesn't add up.
Yes, I vaguely remember that episode. Man, I miss the original series, even after all these years. Every now and then I'll catch the original series on one of the streaming channels and watch a few.

Edit: @AudioShockwav .. So I went to IMDB and found that episode. Season 2 Episode 3.
(IF this is the right one.) I'm pretty sure it is.

Yep, that's the one, The Changeling" is the third episode of the second season of the American science fiction television series Star Trek. Written by John Meredyth Lucas and directed by Marc Daniels, it was first broadcast on September 29, 1967.

It's loosely based on the same idea of a probe from earth that gets damaged , and somehow finds another probe and combines as one unit.
It's down fall is mistakingly calling Kirk the Creator........

The original series is the best of all the runs hands down.
