My opinion, you cant beat Kenwood's service. When they put faulty filters in the 2000, they recalled it, sent me a shipping label, picked the radio up, fixed it, sent it back in all in 5 weeks.

i cant get a return call from yaesu.my radio been to yaesu 5 yes 5 times under warrenty n they cant fix it.
Made a video of the 1 that dont cause trouble,then 1 of the crappy radio at same place.intermod squelch cant quiet in bad radio n good 1 squelch set at 3 full quieting.both are same model 300 nubers apart serial number wise.
No more yaesu if they cant fix replace or refund.fedex has it more than i have.cant sell it cause i wont pawn crap on others,had it done to me n im not stooping to that level

Yaesu was not always like they are today but Kenwood definitely maintained better quality control and factory service with knowledgeable techs that were willing to get on the phone last time I tried.
