I've just spent my whole day doing nothing but eBay. Making changes due to ALL of the carriers having raised their rates. I'm just the messenger on this;

I would say that's the price of shipping anything around Canada and beyond. Higher fuel costs effects a lot of things.

Even Canada Post wants a fortune for a simple letter never mind a parcel.

I don't think the increase was just the Canadian territory but USA as well. Letter rates don't seem to effected according to the Canada Post web site. I sent off some packages today and rates were less?? Day before higher?? Seems to be some confusion going on.

Possibly has something to do with the new tax regulations in the US? That's the only big thing that I can think of that just changed.

I know the US trucking companies charged a surcharge when the fuel prices spiked a decade ago but did they drop the charges when fuel prices bottomed out....NO.

The new tax law will drive up the national debt at a faster rate and that will weaken the dollar even more.
