we’ll guys I can’t thank you enough for all the guidance in getting me too where I am with my Viking II I truly appreciate it!
My last question is Viking 122 VFO with Viking II related issue, issue is it’s not working.
Viking II works great when using a crystal, when plug in the VFO I’m not seeing Oscillator current drop in Crystal Position 0.
The tubes in the VFO are lighting.
Does anyone know what I should be seeing at the connector/ Plug for the VFO on the Viking II and what voltages I should be seeing inside the VFO itself?
I replaced every out of tolerance component in the VFO and checked for proper wiring per the build instructions.

OK after doing some investigating I believe the 122 VFO to be good and the Viking II the issue. I found on the VFO plug in the Viking II L15 too be a mystery. If you look at the picture inside my radio L15 looks to be a coil made from solid wire and doesn’t look original. When you look at the pic identifying that coil it should be L15. Now if you look at the parts list their is no L15 listed? Possible L19 in the parts should have said L15?
Maybe this is my 122 VFO issue?

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
