Its a Lightening 4+ but its a pretty old one. Looks like the fiberglass elements broke on the driven element and first director right at where they came out of the spreaders. I think all the wire is intact but wont know till i get it down. This is the first time i have had something like this happen in the many years of running a quad. Guess that time dice came up snake eyes lol.

I have a 5 band Lightning Bolt quad. It has fiberglass spreaders and they have never been a problem in about 15 years and a few snowstorms along the way.

I have had many snowstorms and ice before but none like what we got this time. We got about 3/4s of an inch between the 2 storms. I cant believe it still actually works lol.

  • @ Hambones amps:
Does anyone know if you can replace the 2290 in a galaxy dx 93t twin turbine with a 2sc2879 red dot? If so, what would have to be tuned?
  • @ ShadowDelaware:
Hambones the entire amp section would have to be retuned, and the rf transformers re wrapped.
