Since it is a 10m radio; it also has to be type accepted
I wanted some opinions on this amplifier. What can I expect as far as it having a clean signal? I know it mostly depends on what is driving it...

I don't think type acceptance is required for amateur radio transceivers. It is for 11-meter/CB though.

They used to have two 2290's in them.
When did they change?
is that this radio has current FCC approval for 10m use.
I'm guessing when Toshiba quit making the 2290!
My poor choice of the term; sorry. What my point is, is that this radio has current FCC approval for 10m use. So, it would have to have already passed spectral purity testing. Better?
Incoming Region Produces X3 Solar Flare |
May 15, 2024 @ 14:55 UTC |
Another major solar flare, but this time from an active region just beginning to turn into view off the east limb. It is possible that the group responsible is old AR 3654 from the previous rotation. The latest flare, an X2.99 event just peaked at 14:38 UTC (May 15). Stay tuned |
