New Anytone 6666+

$712 Canadian. Ouch ! That's a good bit more than the $230 Canadian I payed for my 6666. Not sure I'll be upgrading at that price LOL.... That's a mighty big increase in price for a radio that's only a wee bit more powerful.

I shudder to think how much the Washington is going to be, if it does indeed share a board with the 6666 pro.

I wouldn't pay any attention to the online pricing yet. The radio is still not released and the people "selling" don't actually have them to sell.

80 watts pep AM/SSB. Something tells me it's possibility sharing a chassis with that president Washington...
There are significant differences in size, layout, IO/UI, and feature set. But both share some of the latest circuit designs at their core. You will see that across various new radios from different brands, and that's a good thing.

The old line of "it's just an X in a Y box" is simply not the case, despite the many incorrect assumptions you might see online.

It's a great time for 12m/11m/10m (and even 15m) rigs right now. There is a lot of great stuff happening.

Is it possible to be on a lake and have a homing directional beam being emitted from the shore so a person could navigate to that beam's source? For example at night to a jetty.
