RCI 2970N2, Turner CS1 desk mic running off an Astron 70M ps, Imax 2K and a 4 element MaCo yagi.
It's not up as high as I'd like it but it gets the job done.

Are you a tech license or general or no ticket at all? I does not matter to me. When I got my ham tickets I had a uniden hr2510 and a bunch of 2 meter junk that was given to me 2970 is a good radio I gave it to my son for a present. Now I have more radios and amps than I'll ever use..

No don't have the time. I've had several 2510/Lincoln's over the yrs. All Doc tuned. Had several other radios wish I could have kept them but needed to thin out the herd.

RWB runs the 980 and loves it. I think that’s a fine radio.

Not since I was shopping for a radio and you used the "SITH Mind trick" on me and caused me to buy another Handy Talky just like one I already had. I heard "That is the radio you need, and buy a Galaxy 959 as well."
Haha, you crazy. I’d talk you into something besides a 959, bigger and more expensive.
