The wife and I have been talking about buying land for recreation and possible building home on in future, So we ended up finding some property on the Ontario Quebec border in Mattawa. The land is 31 acres with a tiny home on it...going to use for 4 wheeling and snowmobiling and to run my woods bike.We get the property this coming August 3rd, very pumped to finally own some vacant land with room to play on.

Awesome! The wife and I have been watching tiny house videos on YouTube. I am interested to see what antennas you are going to put up.

I was not looking for a tiny home but since it was being sold with land I thought it was a great Idea, I first have to get some bigger panels, Have a line on 2 430w panels get a few more batteries and a 12v fridge and install a holding tank for black water, once thats done then I can think of a radio and antenna, have a spare Imax or 102" steel whip. Will post pics when an antenna goes up.

Cheers

Well was able to get up to the property a few times this summer, did some dirt biking and running the quad, I had to get the bottom of the trailer skirted in as per insurance, and the price of pressure treated lumber was crazy....so I used regular plywood and treated with used motor oil (keeps the termites away and I have alot off it so made use of it. I also Tinted the top 3 windows 20% to keep the heat down in the summer and installed a 4G solar powered camera to keep an eye on things as I wont be back up till the spring, snapped a pic today and the snow is starting to pile up. Next spring will be spray foaming the bottom of trailer and back storage room to house 4 Lithium deep cycle batteries with 2 410W solar panels and build new platform and stairs with a 6x12 deck

Cheers!

I have been thinking of selling my townhouse and buying a tiny house to put on the land where i grew up. I like the townhouse I am in now, but it way too much space for me. At least out in the country I can put up a nice tower.

Well I have finally built and installed a outhouse with a simple 5Gallon bucket sawdust toilet, works like a charm with use of my ash from wood stove at home, the toilet inside cabin just goes through a grey water tank, so no #2. Hope to be heading up soon with a new walk behind DR 26" cut mower, to hep with all the overgrown grass and saplings, already twisted a crank on and old push mower from a big rock, The DR should help alot. And we also have some bears around, mother and 3 cubs came through this morning and spotted on a few days ago. Keep my eyes open and will be making some noise..lol
