I'm rebuilding a nice little Heath SB-200 amp and need a power transformer to finish the project. I would hate to part this out because it is a very clean amp. Any ideas? 73.

Heathkit parts turn up on eBay all the time. I've seen the transformer for the 220 many times. I suspect if you check regularly, you'll find one for a 200 within a month. Antek also makes some good toroidal transformers for about $100. Their AS-8T80 could be a candidate if it fits. It produces 1500 watts PEP in intermittent communication service with no problems. It does not have the 80 volt tap used for cutoff bias and to power the relay. You could put a 12 volt relay in and simply use a 10,000 ohm resistor in the cathode circuit to place the tubes in cutoff during RX. I'd use a zener to bias the tubes on because the original bias circuit leaves a little to be desired anyhow. It's not so hard to wrap another winding on a toroid if you have patience. About 50 turns through a voltage doubler will replace the original bias winding.
Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
