Sparky CB Shack turning into Jerk...

in my opinion if you don't like a shops work.
go to another shop. why sit there and bash a shop. ever think people ask al to remove the limiter. my dealings with sparky have been great. i asked that the limiter stays intact he did just that. so instead of bashing sparky s get a life and a new tech.

If you were familiar with Sparky's 'tunes' you'd know that leaving the limiter intact is part of the grand illusion that his radios are 'clean'. He doesn't take the time to desolder and remove them. Instead, he flips the radio over and cuts the trace to it with a razor knife. It's much quicker but has the same end result. I've seen several radios that came off his bench and every one of them had the limiter disabled in that manner. No, I'm not 'bashing' Al...just telling it like it is.

Custom cb radios gets all my work now. I met him and saw he had the tools to do things right and knew how to use them. Also I had some work done at another shop before he worked on it. I asked him about the work and he said the guy did a very nice job on it. Alot of techs act as if no one else can do the things they do. Him being honest about the other techs work went along way with me.
