Great SSB radio, if it's performing right. Very forgettable AM radio. Not so bad as the Siltronix 1011, but close. Average age of these is 30 years. Might be as old as 1969, or as new as 1977 or 1978. Not sure when they quit making it. If the filter capacitors in the power supply are original, consider that they will "age" quickly, if the radio gets regular use. They really aren't meant to last 15 years, let alone 30. A power supply that was on the shelf a long time will work for 6 months or a year sometimes, before those filters 'remember' how old they are, and begin to fail, one by one. Once the first of those causes trouble, the best solution is to replace every, single electrolytic cap that is still an original part.
