Thailand Cave Rescue Communications


There is a ham here in Alberta that converts old CB's for the same task. Used within the BC / AB cave rescue group. He got the info from the UK folks.
 
Leave it up to the ARRL to have an article about a device that is no longer used because it is obsolete.

I guess they worked OK, but, ................what would have been said if they failed and those scouts died?

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
