My posts keep getting deleted. Any quicker and it'll be happening before I even have a chance to hit the "Post Reply" bu

I have no idea what happened. I did delete a couple members posts when they quoted arcone but the content was immaterial to the thread. I did however NOT delete three of your posts that I just restored. It shows as being deleted by YOU. Loose fingers and dirty glasses perhaps? :ROFLMAO:

Close. Dirty fingers and loose glasses. o_O
One quick question and then back on topic . . .
What prevents a fella like the one who was just escorted from the premises from simply creating a new account under a different user name?

I could tell you but then I would have to ban you and let you find out for yourself if I was telling the truth or not. :p Nothing is ever 100% foolproof however there are various means of dealing with such cases.

Cool. Will leave it at that and get back to finding just the right coax length.

What coax length do I use for a muilti band yagi, MosleyPRO67B
10/12/15/17/20/40 meters
One coax feed?????;););););)
I have a coax that reaches from the yagi to the shack, but is that optimal???

Back to square one...

The right length on a simple setup is enough to reach from the transmitter to the antenna.

After re-reading all twelve pages, I have concluded you are correct, fourstring. Along with the others who suggested the same. Those needing a more technical approach can use Clodhopper's coax calculator in Post #119. That's my take on the whole thing and I am turning a blind eye and deaf ear to anything otherwise. Am going to go hunt my ribbon so I can put a nice bow on it. :)

Actually, there are statements made in that linked article that are completely incorrect.

I went to post 119 and clicked link. When I used the coax calculator, it's funny that I got the same length of coax to use as the distance from radio to antenna I entered, Hmm

You are correct, DainBramage.
Heck, seventy-eight percent of the info in all the forums on this site is suspect. One just has to put on his/her waders and slosh through it all keeping a keen eye out for the holy grails. How does one recognize one when he sees it? Look for comfirmation in Wikipedia or check with Ol' Ben Rutledge. He knows more about this stuff than anyone alive. Reminds me of that guy Levon Helm played in the movie Shooter.

Well, checking with Ol' Ben won't be as easy now as it once was. Apparently he has moved to Dime Box, Texas, is no longer on the internet, has no landline and has changed his cell phone number. :(

The only option is to make the pilgrimage to Dime Box and try and persuade one of the locals to tell you where he lives. Kinda has a Dylanesque feel to it if you're old enough to remember the 60s. And there's no guarantee Ben'll share his knowledge with you should you be fortunate enough to find him. Ah, but if he will . . .
