I've read a lot of good things about these radios and nothing bad. Beside the annoying beep. Channel mod or no channel mod I think it would be a nice rig to have. When I get a few extra bucks I'll have to pick one up just to play around with. See what mic and amp combinations it likes and what not.

Astatic 636, Road Devil, RF Limited CR577, and even the extreme 2018 sound good on this radio...it will match with just about any amp as long as you know how to set it up. enjoy and welcome.
