Hi all.
My dad recently got his ham license and has really been enjoying the sense of community and technology combined.
While talking to him on father's day, i expressed a desire to one day make it to Dayton as part of my bucket list.
He asked me what Dayton was, and i spent the next 15 minutes talking about it.
Dad's response was, "well why don't you and I make a road trip next year in the RV?"
so now i am officially planning my first trip to the Hamvention!!!
From all of you who have been down this road a few times; what does a newbie need to know?
all i know so far is that we will be staying in the RV and parking somewhere on site.
I am most interested in the swap meets. he will be most interested in seeing what new 2 meter equipment will be coming out.
I am also interested in getting to meet any of the forum members i have corresponded with for years.
thanks in advance for any advice!
