I have to replace a channel encoder on a Stryker and they use a different style nut on all the front knobs. I have seen this before elsewhere and usually manage to remove them with a little effort and a lot of aggrivation. I'm not wanting to use that brute force tactic here.

Anyone know the name of the tool or where to get one? Thanks..

I believe they are called spanner nut wrenches. We'd make our own if needed be. Get a piece of thin tubing steel, aluminum works too, that fits over the pot shaft, file the sides down leaving two little dimples. Voila! Spanner wrench.RR-TOOL-SN-C2.jpg
