Actually CW, You may or may not know that not everyone has an interest in "Ham Radio". I set up a CB at home, and in my wifes, and my car for emergency use. We had severe weather here a couple of years ago that knocked out phones (including cell towers) and left everyone without communications...

Yes, It's permitted under rule 12 of part 95. As far as "advertising" goes,..It's illegal, but I don't think people follow this rule anymore. I drive on the interstate to work everyday, and there's a CB shop that advertises constantly over channel 19. FCC used to track this stuff down,..but not...

OK,..This is very helpfull. I'm getting ready to do a little coax & PL-259 soldering. This is my first time, so was wondering what type & wattage of iron to use. I just bought a vintage 100W Hexagon iron from ebay. By all the answers to the question,..I think I'm in the ballpark,...good deal!! :)
