My friends make fun of me.....

Why do you drink beer when you have such a cherry setup? that's like having a hot wife then watching a stupid football game with your buds when you could be doing, well you know?

Don't think they are making fun of you because of the radios in your garage...or the cigarettes....

Most likely they are picking on you because your probably the only person they know who drinks Corona in can's!:bdh::D

Where do you get Corona in cans anyway? Never seen it....

Texas silly

Then you would be well advised not to buy it, huh? Assuming of course, that it was for sale. You wouldn't want any of my radios either. But then they aren't for sale wither. Oh well...

No problem there. You could not give me the thing. As for that 2% thing, you can bust me on that bet.

Let them try that test on ex smokers.

Nice set up, Hard to beat those old Fox Tango's for audio.

Nicotine does leave a residue on electronic boards and basically whatever it touches. If the electronics is exposed to the cigarette smoke in confined space with poor ventilation it is just a matter of time before a failure happens.

I get many vintage pieces across the bench here to get repaired, restored and some come in looking dull brown. Covered in tar and nicotine residue. Not a pretty sight.

I am not downing smokers as I am one myself. I smoke outside the shack, outside the house and outside the vehicle.

Just look at all the yellow stained RCI-2950's button pads out there, LOL.

Not to mention all the other greasy chicken fingered, dusty, grimey, cat and dog hair coated boards.

Some people have no cooth.

Some people view a radio that has been exposed to smoke as ruined. (Not me)

Oh is that what he means? I dont think so either in this case. There is a ceiling fan in the garage running all the time and there is a big open space here. Cigarettes may harm electronics if a smoker is in a closed non ventilated room and being chain smoked directly on but that is not the case here.
As a side note I only smoke when I drink beer, the days I work etc, I dont smoke at all.
