has anyone had a radio built by lesters customs?

its a small old radio shack goes to 2000 watts but on his bird it slammed the 500 (100w slug and on the x5 multiplier) on mine hooked to 2 optima redtops gel batteries i cant get it to do 200 about 180, my 148f gtl with a black widow dx 250 on the same meter will do 375 on the pep setting and i know my dx 250 wont do 500 w
this thing id say is mis represented the audio has something wrong and its just trashy if you turn the volume down it humms the recieve is a joke i paid 500$ for a trashy truckstop turd and im pissed about it im going to contact lester pay the shipping yet more money and ive waited already so long its retarded bullshit
its supposed to be an sx 350 power case the output suggests an sx 175 how can u tell bu looking? he puts seals on the covers
The sx350 should do about 300 watts, I can't see how he got 500 unless he is using equipment that is not calibrated correctly or he was running more volts, maybe like 15vdc. Who knows. Per what I have read, 300 watts is about what they do normally. Maybe a bit more. That is far off from 500 watts.
I agree, maybe names shouldn't have been dropped but the shop name was in the title, all 918 did was speak the truth. I would have been upset too if I waited for as long as he did and for the money he spent ($500). But at any rate it is a bad deal all around. 918 are you reading your rat shack meter correctly? Is it in pep mode and set to 2000 watt scale. Power is read on the bottom scale. I am not doubting anything you have stated, I watched the video. Make sure meter is on the 2000 watt scale, 2nd switch up all the way, third switch down. I know mine slips kind of In between settings sometimes. 918 if you are willing, maybe give a call to les and see what he tells you. He doesn't want a bad rap I'm sure.
im gona give him a chance to give me my money back im going to make a vid to show him im not hooking it up wrong plus it will give him something to guage off of he will see that 500$ turd vs a real radio and how far he fell short, the cobra 148f on the right and black widow dx 250 real from the day turner road king 56 vs the lescomm dx 959 sx350 custom this will be like racing a porsche 911 turbo vs a smart car lol

Give up on buying hacked up radios. Send the money on a good rig and don't worry so much about what the Watt meter is saying.
that rat shack old meter is pretty accurate believe it or not yes i had it on pep my black widow 250 will do 350 or so on it that sx 350 wont do over 180 turned all the way up, i will say this the channel board seems really good its just installed in a junk radio
i own a customer satisfaction type business (3pointwheels.com) im a cnc machinist, welder and auto customizer, today im working on a rare optioned 1972 Porsche 911 targa (a modern honda accord would beat it in a race lol) but its going in a museum when thing leave my shop there is never a (send it back to me ill polish the turd some more) they pick it over even underneath, and im slammed busy or i wouldnt be working on saturday 73s to everyone i have to get in car mode and out of radio mode for awhile lol
