Can you believe this?? LOL

2010 2.3 XL reg cab ranger with reverse white one with rear limo tint.

Question on the inside rear view mirror that is on the front windshield.

Which is the regular daytime driving mode on the black tab thing? Towards the windshield or towards the rear of the ranger?

What about at night when you get "blinded" ?

It doesn't matter which way if I recall. Flipping it either up or down will switch it the opposite way. The last five+ years I haven't had to bother as my rear view mirror is auto-dimming. Yeah....LOL I can't believe someone asked how to use a mirror. I guess he would be completely screwed if he tried to use the radio/entertainment centre.

GM went to auto dimming years ago. GM has always been about content over quality. It works in a very similar way to an LCD watch display.

They also had Twilight Sentinel to automatically turn headlights on etc....

I am sure other companies do as well today.

Most young men today have no clue how to jump-start a car or start a car with a manual transmission.

Heck if you gave them a carburated engine with a manual choke in the dead of Winter they would never get the car started!

A man should be the master of his world! Not just think he is the master of his world! LOL

Nothing really wrong with the auto features as long as there is a manual override and people learn how to use them. I admit it has lead to people getting lazy as well as stupid. I stopped telling people that they left their headlights on when they get out of their car. Had one old bitch snap at me telling me that they will turn off by themselves . My biggest peeve however is the idiots that don't clue in about the DRL's. There are basically three ways to implement daytime running lights. Some like my Tundra illuminate the front parking lights at full intensity. Others use the headlights but even then there ar two different ways to do it. Some illuminate the low beams at full intensity while others illuminate the high beams at a reduced intensity. I can't count how many times I have encountered an idiot on the road driving with just the DRLs on. In some cases their light beam is pretty weak if their car uses the high beams on low intensity. In all cases they have NO tail lights on at all. Pending regulations is changing that so tail lights come on as well. That should at least reduce the times when you come zooming up on some idiot in the fog when his vehicle seems to literally appear out of nowhere. The more I drive the more I am thankful I drive a large 4x4 truck. I stand a MUCH better chance of coming out the winner in a crash.

Day time running lights? Auto dimming rear view mirror? Modern luxuries not found in my vehicles. I am still in the stone age, if I want four wheel drive I have to lock the front hubs and shift the short lever on the floor.

I suppose you have to get your passenger to adjust your passenger's side mirror too do you? :p
