Left a heavy box.lo n behold my latest ebay winning.i hooked it up for a test run via dc cord to lil wil on my pickup.it definatly can talk both am and lsb.4 extra bands clarifier has been opened up too.now to figure how to wire it up ac.not sure what prong is what?
Maybe somebody can toss a helping word or 20 at me.
Finish is decent for age.after i took the photos i cleaned it off n now just 1 little mark in the finish.

Yes its ac i need dc. Did google n found kens electronics kalamazo mich.he has plugs for almost every kind of new and vintage electronic gadget made. Im wanting to use this in my big truck in place of my sad galaxy 99v.never was much of a radio.first 5 minutes with the roadtalker showed old build quality
 
I posted wrong i need ec cord it has dc cord which i tested with.its 99f here today n brain is kinda draggin .my booboo

I know that this is not on topic but I need some ideas about my dads radio
what you need to know?im not too bright but some here are better than i am on radios
 
It just stopped transmitting but receive seems to be working just fine
check mic? They can be first culprit id check.those cords flex n get pulled.in time wires break.and sometimes the speaker parts go bad.others might have a better idea but id sure check the mic n cord first

Your Roadtalker has a unique power cord (Shared by a J.C. Penney AC/DC SSB as well I believe). Finding the DC cord that will mate with it could be a chore. I suppose it is possible to remove the radios covers and trace out which 2 pins of the 6 pin cord supply DC to the board only and make your own cord to plug into those 2 pins on the radio.

If there is room in the chassis (doubtful with the transformer installed?)a standard Uniden 3 prong connector may be added to use for DC only?

kens electronics kalamazo mich.he has plugs for almost every vintage radio n tv built.he has the 6 pin dc and ac cords both for my radio.googled plugs n he was first up.might want to keep him in mind.im ordering 1
