Dark Helmet works on radios too? That rat cousin of mine... that’s why he wanted to “borrow” my service manuals.

Yep yep yep

But as promised i delivered .now you see him n there he is

This is getting a little too intense...

Be careful guys, like cornered Rats - Techs, phony or not, when backed into a corner or feeling threatened, they are unpredictable.
yep he might fire up n drive away rather fastly

I think I would feel threatened like it was a candy van. At the same time I’m curious to see how the inside looks. You gotta give him credit, a rolling shop made out of an RV... interesting.

However I’d feel like there’d be no warranty. If my radio job wasn’t satisfactory the next day, he might not be there.

OK, I gotta ask, who is it? Are you trying to tell me that it's "you know who" that seems to get threads shut down faster than a speeding bullet? That guy?

It gives me an idea... Maybe I should buy an RV? I could tour the country and get gas money by fixing radios... This is starting to sound like a great master plan.

YOU HAVE TO CLICK PLAY to get the funny part of my reply. Just a few seconds...push play!!!

Never knew his name just hillbilly, and handy andy is right FLY BY NITE. He has been known to stay away weeks at a time. Big ol boy gave him cash for a big hi dollar radio.n he was hid out 3 weeks.he surfaced with guys radio but i was at kenworth n the big ol boy said he promised it 3 days later.i asked suppose your radio migh be WARM? He said better not be or its a S.H.F.situation

Yeah I think I’d avoid that “tuner”. But I still think that’d be a cool thing to have. Just go set up where the trucks are, couldn’t be much worse than some of the stationary shops around here.

The stationary shops can be an even bigger problem these days, the CB radio business just isn't big enough anymore to pay the bills on a traditional brick and mortar shop without squeezing every last dime out of your customer base.

Now I don't have a clue who this particular tech is so this isn't specific to him but in general a mobile shop could be a sign of a tech on the run or it could just be an effort to cut expenses to be in line with what the business can support.

I've dealt with some good mobile shops in the past, you have to do some research on the guy and not make snap judgements.

I don’t know who it is but RWB does. I believe he’s done the research, haha. But yes I get what you’re saying, not all the local guys here are screwdriver experts but some are.
