Covid Gardening

Solution. .......got 4 cu yd of composted soil from those eco friendly freeks. Tilled in. More tiller work to be done. But that looks better soil. Had some pics, but can't post due to all the kids out and slowing down the system. Sometimes no signal like rt now while I type.

Awe, ya's picked a fine time to loose hyd pressure. No wonder Dave ain't in no hurry fer it back. Guess he's hoping I'll fix the water pump and hyd pump. Screw that. Had 14 hours invested into his gate, only charged 250 to cover materials and expenses. Ain't buying no parts.

Zero dark thirty, and 3 yds tilled in. After looking today, needs some sandy loam top mixed in.

Red , Good Deal ! Think I seen one of those before that damn Yanmar Diesel ? Not sure but what sticks in my mind is " Leo Remember those rod bolts are in inch pounds when putting it back together ! :ROFLMAO:

Na, new Holland ford with a Kubota 3 cylinder. Nothing wrong with motor, water pump shot, hydraulic is flaky, needs attention.

My little brother had a Yanmar. Cheap built, with whatever parts were available at the time. Just like an AK. Just take a file to it to get fit right. His little tractor ran well, not much ass to it. Think it had no radiator, air cooled. I think. Shit started breaking and parts were weird and difficult to find. Disposable tractor.

Familiar with hydro, tried it back in my 20's. But wasn't trying to grow vegetables, if you know what I mean.

Friend up in Alvin is trying it out, bought a kit. There is alot goes into that, money for pump, pipe, fittings, tubing. Not my thing. Wish Chris the best with it, hope it works for him.

My best results have always been use'n real durt, vegetables and that other stuff.

Was up late this morning, due to Clandestine Covid Gardening infused with copious amounts of Lone Star and Tequila. Earlier in the night, bout 10 PM, my neighbor Mary calls. Said she heard this banging noise out my way and got out of bed to investigate. Said she couldn't see my truck, not knowing if I was home she called.

I laughed, it was me out by chicken coop, banging on some feed tubs, trying to get them apart. I use them as planters. She had to laugh. Wanted to know when I was goin to bed, told her when I run out of beer, tequila, and headlamp dies. Now that really got her giggling.

Some seeds got started. More peppers in planters, and cucumbers are in tub's with hog wire against coop for creeping up. Shade for chickens, too. All container plants needing baskets got done. Now the light rain is doing its best to make things grow.

My “get home load” was to New Braunfels. Almost shoutin’ distance, huh?

Looks like spring a lot of places, but boy, you get south of Killeen and it’s full force.

Took me all day to get home from Hillsboro. Wrecks, roads closed and errands. A/C now turned on. So, if it’s this way next door to Carswell SAC base,

it sure better be green & growing in Lavaca!

Well, I got to thinking....
20200331_150041.jpg

With toilet paper at a premium and almost unobtainium these days, it was time for some Redneck Engineering, again. Sooo...

While eating a can of Sardines it came to me. Bing! (That was the sound of idea)
Soo....

A week later.....

No more shopping for toilet paper.

Perfect!

The cover artwork for the hardbound edition of, Covid Gardening.

Plant some Ozarka, will ya? Took me almost a week to find some.
(East Texas Aquifer bottled water; drinkable, unlike many others).

As a truck driver it was MIGHTY irritating to NOT be able to find bottled drinking water. Have already lost two days off the road (income) waiting for that which I can’t control. Who are all the stupid babies who HAVE TO HAVE their water bottle (sippy cup)?

Been making that Community Coffee with CRAZY WATER #4 from the springs at Mineral Wells, TX. (Will spare others of effects. Efficacious, is enough said).
