How to shoot skip

4 years ago (in Oct.) I was talking to a lady on Corsica Island on 27.490 usb. After we were done talking I heard a station from Europe call me, so I replied saying "please qsy down to ".480" and then I asked who was calling me?

Well for the next hour & 20 minutes, stations just kept calling me. So for that hour & 20 min's here is what I did:
worked 36 stations.
7 different countries - all in Europe.

(this was all with a barefoot radio - no amps in line)

This is what I mean by having good communications. Just give your call sign and they will come to you.

Back around 2003, I use to talk to a nice lady in Indonesia. One evening in the winter time we got hooked up on 11 meters and we talked for 1 hour & 10 minutes. She was using a 4 element Yagi with a 75 watt Icom and I was just using the 5 element Yagi with 100 watt rig.
So be polite and try dropping the "waving the hand bit"!

Don't laugh. I have been into cb radios for about two years. I have never had that much experince with skip until a couple of months ago I started becoming intrested. Does anyone have any tips on shooting skip?
Use lsb ch 38 or freq 27.383630 for cq or call and request qsy or request other lsb 35,36,37 ,39 ,40 for contact or qso or extended conversation's been this way for hundreds of years it's the only way to make skip tolerable so that USA is not all talking about there radeos on lsb 38.
