Does anyone know if I can paint the coils on a Wilson 5000 trucker antennas without hurting my receive or output? If so what kind of paint can I use?

Yea I have been told to get a true sine wave inverter or a 12v fridge. Is there or are there an antennna that would be better to use?

I was thinking about maybe the 102" whip or the Sirio trucker 5000 and maybe mounting it to a grab handle on the back of the sleeper. Maybe running some type of rubber hose down it to protect it from any grounds. What do you think?

I have a Magnum S-9 that only needs the receive turned down a little, when it gets noisy out there you can't turn the rf gain back enough or squelch it out. I have 2 Galaxy DX-33 hml's, 1 Galaxy DX-44V, and 1 General Lee that needs to be checked out and repaired.
