Yaesu M1 on Icom 7300 Wiring help

So, I just bought an Icom 7300, still in mail, so don't have it yet. I want to use my Yaesu M1, and other studio mic gear that's all wired for 8 pin Yaesu. I know Icom uses electret mic, and it seems pin 2 is 8volts, but it also seems after looking at mic wiring diagrams on net, that pin 1, the...

RCI 2995 not quite right on USB issue

Bought new 2995 dxcf. Works fine on am/fm and lsb. About 140 watts pep and great audio. But, usb, not so great audio and power more around 100 watts. The audio isn't muffled or dirty sounding, its more like its transmitting at a far narrower band width than the other modes. It has that very...

    Anytone at-5555n II (version 2)

Im running a old Yaesu YM 33 non amped dynamic mic along with an UR6QW 8 band analog equilizer on mine, and reports tell me it is better than the stock mic, but not by huge amount. After reading various complaints in this post about this radio I'm gonna say that by far, it's light years better...

    Anytone at-5555n II (version 2)

Ok, cracked the secret technique of making the vox work. You have to make sure squelch is up to point its quieting static etc. Then make sure vox is turned on via menu #16. In case anyone cares. 999,BC,Canada

    Anytone at-5555n II (version 2)

I did check out the manual in regards to vox operation but it doesn't say how to use vox, it does say what the two menu numbers associated to vox operation do. Menus 16 and 17. I've owned many rigs with vox, this is not my first vox rodeo. I've never had issues using vox on any other radio...

    Anytone at-5555n II (version 2)

No vox jack on back. I just assumed with turning it on in menu, and using stock mic as is, it would work. Its advertised as having vox and its certainly got 2 settings in its menu. Not sure whats up with getting it to work. 999,BC,Canada

I tried your suggestion using the mic, and yeah, now if I key the mic, I can change the values. Wow, crazy system. Thanks

    Anytone at-5555n II (version 2)

So on Q5N2, to access service menu, you hold in menu and mode buttons and then power up radio, then push sequentially the next 6 buttons to enter service menu. That works fine for me. Then turn channel selector knob to cycle through menu items. Works fine for me. The part I'm not figuring here...

    Anytone at-5555n II (version 2)

So, I have the Q5N2, and so far I'm pretty impressed. I'm now running mine with a Ur6qw 8 band equilizer along with a Yaesu YM-33 dynamic desk mic. Nothing but flowers on the audio there. So, I'm curious about opening up tx bandwidth via the service menu. I dont know what these radio's do stock...
