advice on groundplanes please

hi i am after some advice on wether putting a full size 1/4 wave groundplane on my thunderpole 5/8th wave antenna with 12 inch radials would improve the antenna
 

I tend to keep it simple. I like maco 5/8 ground plane and for $100 or so you cant go wrong. As far as a Frankenstein antenna, I cant really help there but im sure someone here can.

If the gp wasn't in the original design then I don't see any improvement in adding them. But then again, it doesn't hurt to try it just for grins. If you do, let us know how it works.

Physics would like a word with you. The reason CBs got a reputation for causing TV interference was precisely because of a lack of ground planes.

Not necessarily.
If an antenna is installed correctly with or without a ground plane, it should NOT cause TVI.
This is all I'm posting on the subject...
