I meant to ask that this thread be closed. The RCI was acting very strange, so I replaced the memory battery and gave it a reset. Now it's back to 26-32MHz coverage which is what I am used to out of an older 2950... Guess something had gotten screwy with the CPU.

I'll second the recommendation for the 2200h.. Run one mobile and it has been through hell and still works as good as the day I took it out of the box. I also own a V8000 and it's a solid radio. In my truck I'm running an older HTX-242 Radio Shack... it's farily plain jane with no alpha tags...

MRF450s probably. Might be able to substitute MRF455s but I'm not sure
