    Icom 745 radio ?

radioredzz, The icom ic 745 is a good mid level rig and sell between $350 to $450. Some common problems with most icoms of that era is the trimmer caps, make sure they have recently been replaced. But if they haven't it is usually an easy fix. Also the 745 is know for cold solder joints. And...

Also was told it has had recent caps replaced. It also is now using the 6kd6 tubes and output is 300 watts RMS.........around 550 plus on SSB...

    Question about license

I found this in my "look whos talking" book: If you let another amateur with a higher class license than yours control your station,he or she may use any operating privileges allowed by higher class lincense. They must follow the proper station id procedures. On the other hand,if you are the...

    Maco 3 element

I would like to get some input on a Maco 103c 3 element beam. I plan on using it on 10m and from what i'v read there's no problem tuning for 10m. And the price is right. And at 16 pounds there should be no problem using small rotor. What about constrution and durability? The winds here are...

74IN, here's your choices: FL-103 9 MHz FILTER 2.8kHz/-6dB (SSB wide) FL-223 9 MHz FILTER 1.9 kHz/-6 dB (SSB nat.) Not sure if you can install both. These are Icom's factory filters,Irad does not offer any filters for 706 series. I perfer the wide filters,Good luck
