    Anyone know a good mod to give the clarifier more range? I have a crystal to take it 35 to 40 but the clarifier needs a tad more range, and yes I know about the pots inside to adjust and yes I know that crystals drift with age....

    Pal model E vfo died on me

    No drive at all. Worked fine on my hy gain Vlll until today and now no drive at all. Like an 1/8 of a watt. That's it. Before it quit, it worked perfectly.

    Cobra 135 23 ch b version

    Anyone know how i can up the modulation on am in this radio? The mod I found is wrong as it says to remove a transistor but that kills off the audio .

    Cobra 135 23 ch B version Am modulation.

    Any way to turn the modulation up in the 135 b version? Only thing I found involved removing a transistor but that 100% disables the modulation. I think that mod is for the earlier A version 135.

    23 ch hy gain VIII no lsb

    I have a very nice Hy Gain 23 ch VIII that works on Am and USB. but LSB is dead. I recapped the entire radio and cleaned everything, bit still no LSB..

    1973 Midland 13 898....

    I was given a 1973 Midland 13 898 base. I looked and there are no vr mods. I found the later version, the 13 898b, ( I own one mint in the box dated Sept 1976) but nothing for the earlier version.
