    Mosfets

I believe you are correct about them being ERF9530 (The amp I mentioned looking into is a Rocket Box HD500 MOS). At Walmart right now. When I get home I'll confirm it.

    Mosfets

I just looked into an amp I also got from the widow that has 4 of the ERF9530s in it. It must be one of those adaptations. I won't use them, but I'd sell them cheap (as I said I would) if anyone is in the market. I just didn't know whether they are desirable.

    Mosfets

Thanks. I'm asking because I came into some of these from a silent key widow. I promised to market them and wondered if they had any value. They seem pricey online. I have 10 of the ERF9530, 2 of the MRF300an, and 2 of the MRF300bn. I thought they were amplifier related as he worked on such...

Does anyone here ever use ERF9530, MRF300AN, or MRF300BNs? How useful are they?

    For Sale UBITX 6.1

Anyone interested in a Ubitx V6.1? (good unit, but I have another one I'm keeping) This one is already assembled, and works as advertised. It's virtually unused, tested it yesterday after it being stored for ~2 years. With an antenna in my attic I made a POTA contact on 14.252 with peak 3watts...

11 Meter CB antenna plans needed

Building a working 11m antenna can be done in minutes. Example: One (1) 9' household extension cord. One (1) coax long enough to get back to the radio. Cut the female block off the cord, split the two wires apart from each other, and attach one end of the coax to the male plug prongs. The 9'...

QYT KT-8900D Dual Band Mini Radio

I have 2 of them. One in a go box, and the other in the shack. They have done well, easy to manually program, and work well with Chirp programming software. About a year ago I had to replace the one in the shack with something else, although it did not break down. Someone started using pagers in...

    11 meter dipole problems

The problem with the 108" is it's too long. Also, if it is a yagi you're building the driven element length is affected by the parasitic elements on the boom with it, their diameters, the spacing between, and proximity to the earth, and other influential structures nearby. Some of these same...

    Solar Cycle 25

Makes sense. OTOH, 'sun' spots effect the conditions that promote propagation, and the 'sun' (solar) storms are effecting the conditions that are stifling propagation. So, I, unfortunately, still find this solar cycle to be terrible so far for radio. When -if- it gets better before it ends l...

Thanks for the review. I do not have this HT, but I do own the first generation that some, it is said, "sent back". I did not send mine back. It works well, easy to program, l get good reports on the audio, it has respectable volume, seems of good weight in my hand, and has given me no reason...

    Solar Cycle 25

I read that, too. Whether it's true or not, I don't know. I do know this cycle, so far, has been pretty weak by comparison to any others I've experienced. I'm not on the radio as much as I have been before, but when I can, the pickings are mostly slim to none. On all bands of interest to me, at...
