Same Cap!
"it does serve to improve feed-line balance and reduce the potential for feed-line radiation. Most coax systems are already referenced to ground via chassis ground or shield grounding at the point where the coax enters the shack. It is a design form which is only important in terms of...
It's just 2 more caps? Yet, they are inverse-synched to the primary 2 sections. My small brain couldn't grasp the use of such an piece.
Was considering it to replace my Load cap and remove the extra hardware. (1 I have now is too narrow range) but could not find specs for a Johnson 169-25. Do...
Mystery solved over Normally Closed vs Normally Open.
The Part marking convention is denoted by whether the terminals are Bent/Straight and by the color of the insulator: Bent foot w/ white insulator is Normally Open.
Straight foot w/ black insulator Normally Closed.
My problem was that the...
I don’t have as much electronics equip & tools as most Members but, it’s a lot. So when the relatively new Garment Steamer stops working, it looks funny if I can’t fix it. I need a thermal switch & all I need do is find one. Illegible Part # no help from Pur.
So I try AI for the 2nd time...
1st opportunity to try desoldering station (Yihua 948). I had a Lasko 42" tower fan < 1 year old that stopped spinning. I used the Yihua on one of the thru-hole PCB’s that needed attention. Have not cleaned the filter spring yet but nozzle sucked-up some big molten globs and cleared the pcb...
I’m saddened to read your plan to abandon the 201. I was watching and hoping to see it work. I had one w/the same goal that got the better of me around 2010.
I still have the outer case/cage-type that the chassis slides into for anyone (free) to pick-up (Bronx).
My letting-go was...
Playing w/ it today some cover off. The auto-cool down when nozzle placed into cradle is nice (case mounted and free-standing). I measured temps on the heatsinks on pcb and will add a small 5020 cooling fan to be safe. Quieter than I thought it would be.
IDK it's all new to me. The Co-Pilot reply was surprising and yesterday I forgot to post it. Attached below. The C-Pilot reply about component selection was impressive.
Thank you, Brandon on the SMT version diode availability point. I'm still learning and acquiring what I need to do SMT...
I’m preparing to attempt a repair on an Alinco DX-70T that needs SMT diodes replaced on the Band Pass Filter boards. There are 5 boards, one for each HF band and each board has a few SMT diodes on it. Over the past several months, I’ve been gathering Hot Air & De-Soldering equip. This is all...
That makes sense thank you for explaining it to me. I couldn’t see them wasting valuable finals in production. Do you know if the PO is adjustable using front panel controls on the 10w version?
I was outbid last week on a Kenwood 680v 10w version. I want an older low power HF rig I can pair with my low drive amp. I would replace all the parts that need it. Practice desoldering, lol. I do not want an SDR, maybe someday for Receive. I noted the US version of the Kenwood (100w) ran a...
I was surprised at how complete the response was. No ads or product placement whatsoever, and the calculations I never asked for. The reply even had some personality….which prompted me to wonder How was that even possible, was there a Ham who programmed those remarks about my tube choice years...
