Give it up space cowboy. YES I EDITED YOUR POST. Larry never has an ego about the places he has worked and has never hidden the fact he uses almost 100 watts to make those contacts. The ONLY person with an issue about that is YOU.
Edited by Captain Kilowatt because he has had enough BS tonight.
analog meter to analog meter, it should be easy enough. I have no idea if you could go bigger without changing the readings or putting a strain on the circuitry. it is one of the bigger CB meters out there already.
sorry charlie. unless you were running 4 watts you were running an illegal amplifier. just because it's inside the radio doesn't mean you weren't amplifying the signal beyond an allowable limit.
if you've got soldering experience it won't be terrible. I've got a 79-290 that's smt and I was able to solder 2 regular sized resistors to it with a regular soldering iron for my first time on smt. I certainly wouldn't want to try swapping a processor that way though.
that their website needs work.
I click on the HL305 amp has just passed FCC lab test photo link and it takes me to the aviation and sport headset page.

but the video is out there, many people have seen it and no one will believe someone else saying they were the first one.
i'm just saying, he might be surviving off the radio money now, old as he is. as opposed to using it for a little more spending cash.
anyone got a time frame they're getting skip? every time I turn it on it's quiet. I just turned it on and had to check I hadn't knocked the band switch and that the RF gain was still all the way up.
